Brea Robertson is an independent acoustic singer/songwriter and theatre worker from the Sunshine Coast of Australia, currently based in Berlin.

In 2013 while studying theatre, and Brea's voice was failing her...raspy, and broken. She decided to take singing lessons and her teacher, Cardie Boydell, picked it up, brushed it off, and helped her to use it in a way that stirred from somewhere deep. She pushed Brea to perform (much to her dismay!) and with her eyes closed, guitar tightly gripped, Brea sang three covers at a busy café. At the end of her set, she opened her eyes and saw that the café had stilled. It was the most vulnerable, beautiful experience Brea had ever had.

Brea's style fuses ethereal vocals with folk rhythms and bluesy tones. Her voice is the centre-piece of her songs, reaching from rich depths, to angelic heights, stirring the hearts of her listeners. Coupled with sweet guitar, poetic lyrics and chant-like melodies, Brea draws inspiration from landscapes, and people, which she regularly encounters anew as her nomadic lifestyle allows.

"Delicate and delightful. I'm really interested to see what more Brea has in store. I love her voice and I feel like this is just the start of something magical to come." - Nkechi, Triple J Unearthed, AUS

Brea Robertson released her debut EP 'From the Dust' in 2015. She has been featured on radio stations across Australia, supported legendary Donavon Frankenreiter on his 2015 Australian tour and has been on festival bills alongside John Butler, Vance Joy, Temper Trap and Empire of the Sun including Maleny Music Festival, Desert Harmony Festival and The Village Festival within Falls Festival. She has performed as part of Sofar Sounds events and has been featured on Balcony TV as an editor's choice and most recently was invited to play at Asia's largest cultural college festival in Mumbai, Mood Indigo in 2019.

She has also played at festivals including the Maleny Music Festival (AUS), Desert Harmony Festival (AUS), Kattegat Festival (NL), Edinburgh Fringe Festival (SCOT) and The Village Festival within Falls Festival (AUS). For the past two years Brea has been based in Berlin, busking and touring Europe playing living room concerts.

"This amazing musician took hold of my heart from the first time I heard her sing. Her beautiful voice takes me by surprise still, and as I listen, I realise I have tears in my eyes...tears of joy. Amazing." - Therase, Noosa FM, AUS

For the past two years Brea has been based in Berlin, busking, touring Europe, playing at festivals, and recording her independently released EP 'Hillcrest to Here' which tells the stories of love, being far from home and exploring new parts of the world. 'Hillcrest to Here' was released in Berlin in April 2018 to a full house where listeners stood outside to hear the music through the windows. Since then, Brea has spent a big part of the last two years touring across Germany, Switzerland, Italy, the Channel Islands, and the UK sharing her stories and songs in living rooms, gardens and established venues. The tours were organised completely independently through the followers she has accumulated on social media.

"Brea’s songs are powerful. And then, her voice!! The power, conviction, love and compassion, coupled with her inspiring writing talent, produces a rich, full sound." - Hank, Aussie Grown Radio, AUS
